Angela Byers is the Senior Vice President, CRA & Community Strategy Consulting at findCRA and is a CRA subject matter expert with additional experience in Fair Lending and Community Benefits Agreements. Having spent over 20 years working for financial institutions and serving as executive leadership for a nonprofit, Angela fell in love with CRA because it connects her love of banking and community. In her most recent roles at some of the nation’s largest banks, Angela oversaw CRA and Community Development and was responsible for the strategy, oversight, documentation, and reporting of CRA compliance to internal and external stakeholders.
Angela’s leadership were honed through her formal education with Park University’s Public Administration undergrad program and experiential learning with many community-based organizations including Bank On Initiatives and Money Smart Programs. Her ferocity and championship branched into leadership roles across the Midwest, including several board leadership positions for nonprofits serving predominantly low- and moderate-income people and communities. Angela is also a founding member of the Indiana CRA Bankers Association and is provides advisory expertise for the Kentucky CRA Network.
Angela lives in Indiana with her husband and dog, Max, and is always up for a conversation about CRA strategy, traveling, or practicing her Spanish.
